In December Friends of Guatemala was excited to receive a donation of roughly 2,000 pairs of shoes and various items of clothing. Over 25 volunteers loaded up trucks to transport the donations to a storage unit where they were sorted and bagged. About 850 pairs of new children’s shoes were boxed for transport to Guatemala. The adult shoes and clothing was shared with several community organizations, many of which were able to deliver items in time for Christmas.
